How do you take down a criminal network that is hidden in the shadows? How do you rescue child abuse victims whose whereabouts are unknown? Security experts, journalists, and police join forces on a global mission to expose the darkest corners of the internet. The series “Hunting Warhead” follows their story and is a co-production between CBC Podcasts and the Norwegian newspaper VG.

“On behalf of everyone at CBC podcasts, I am thrilled that the extraordinary work done by our team has been recognized in such a profound way. And we are truly humbled by the Grand award for “Hunting Warhead” along with our incredible partners at Verdens Gang in Norway. It is an important and underreported story and our hope is that this honor helps it reach more people.”

– Leslie Merklinger, Senior Director, CBC Podcasts.

“The story in “Hunting Warhead” is a complex and dark one that needs to be told with sensibility and empathy for everyone involved. Finding the right international media partner was vital, and we at VG are extremely grateful for having collaborated on this with accomplished storytellers Chris Oke and Daemon Fairless and the team at CBC. If you trust the story, you are allowed to make things hard for the listeners- they will appreciate it.”
